Congratulations on completing Reiki 1! Welcome to Reiki II. Today we will be advancing the type and proficiency of Reiki healing treatments with the introduction of different methods and use of symbols to focus Reiki energy. We will look at three main symbols to allow the giver to access healing energies immediately, give absent \/ distance healings, and be able to soothe emotional and mental ailments as well as physical. Essential when sending absent \/ distance healing because the symbol allows energy to transcend space and time. This symbol is needed to bring healing to the past, present, and future.<\/h6>
It is said to give access to the person’s Akashic Record, the journey of each soul \/ spirit and is important in healing karma.\u00a0<\/h6>
The Reiki Practitioner is instrumental in healing ailments caused by events throughout all of the soul’s lifetimes, therefore providing healing will have an effect on the future path chosen by the client.\u00a0<\/h6>
For example if the client has a passion for gardening but suffers from pain in the knees – to relieve the client of the pain would change the client’s attitude towards their future (future karma).\u00a0<\/h6>
Similarly past life trauma can be explored which may cause ailments in the present. Healing old trauma created during the soul’s journey can have positive effects to both the client’s health and attitude for the future.<\/h6>
NOTE: Akashic Records are said to be a record of the soul’s goals, debts, contracts, and life purpose in each of it’s many lifetimes- past \/ present \/ future.<\/h6>

Using the Reiki Symbols<\/h2>

As always preparation for a healing session is essential and must be followed for a successful treatment. The preparations are as follows.<\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Then, after moving client into a comfortable position,<\/h4>

P- Permission seeking -ask permission to heal from client’s higher self<\/h2>

When if asking permission there is no clear response or sign not to give the treatment then start the treatment forming a bond between you and the client.\u00a0 We can do this by imagining a temporary cord or a figure of eight (8) of blue light connecting \/ channelling energy from you to the client.<\/h6>

MAKE SURE TO MAKE A MENTAL STATEMENT THAT ENERGY CAN’T FLOW FROM THE CLIENT TO YOURSELF AND THIS TEMPOARARY CONNECTION IS BROKEN WHEN THE ENERGY HEALING IS FINISHED.<\/h4>

Start the healing by sitting next to the client, and drawing the symbols – either with your hand or in your mind \/ imagination.<\/h6>

1> Draw a clockwise Cho-Ku-Rei symbol to start the flow of energy.<\/h2>

2> Draw the Hon-Sha-Ze-Sho-Nen symbol to allow healing over space & time.<\/h2>

3> Draw a clockwise Cho-Ku-Rei to lock in the energy.<\/h2>

>Start by brushing down the body\/aura as described in Reiki 1.<\/h3>

Some healers and with practice giving treatments may gain intuitive sight.<\/h3>

They may receive images and messages during treatments that may highlight areas & causes of emotional\/physical ailments.<\/h5>

During the head channelling treatment the healer can mentally ask\u00a0 the following questions and may receive mental messages. As healers we can mentally tell the client’s HIGHER SELF to allow healing on a level of soul\/spirit.<\/h5>

Not every healer wishes to gain this skill - however the practitioner should ask their higher self to convey this information during the healing. An example may be that the receiver may want to see a relaxing natural environment. This could suggest that the client is spending too much time indoors and is not able to get out into nature as much as their should would desire. Sometimes the client might like to hear their favourite music or see \/ feal reassurance of a loved one. Sometimes a certain ailment might be highlighted allowing for more acceptance of the ailment. It is important to be careful when relaying such information, if the messages are not clear and it could cause potential harm to the client the practitioner should withhold any information and act purely as a channel for healing.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

All of the steps involving symbols and intuition will be done silently \/ mentally and is a negotiation between the practitioner and the client's higher self. Since Reiki energy flows where it is needed, the time spent in each hand position may become shorter with practice. This does not make the treatment weaker. The practitioner should stay in each position until the energy feels complete. Over time, many practitioners naturally develop a feeling for when it is time to move to the next position.<\/h3>

In Reiki Level 2, the practitioner learns to work more directly with Reiki energy through the use of symbols. These symbols help focus the energy for different purposes. This gives the practitioner more awareness and control than in Reiki Level 1.<\/h3>

Sei-Hei-Ki is known as the emotional and mental symbol. It is used to support balance and harmony in the emotions and mind. Emotional and mental stress can affect the body over time, so working with this symbol may help support overall wellbeing.<\/h3>

Hon-Sha-Ze-Sho-Nen is the symbol connected with distance healing. It is used when sending Reiki across distance, beyond normal limits of space and time. This practice is often called distance healing or absent healing.<\/h3>

With experience and practice, some practitioners may begin to notice intuitive information during a session. This can relate to a person\u2019s emotional, mental, or physical state. However, it is important to be careful and respectful when sharing personal insights. Information should never be forced onto someone, and practitioners should avoid making strong claims about the cause of illness or health problems.<\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Sometimes the practitioner and receiver cannot meet in person because of distance or other practical reasons. In these situations, Reiki can still be shared through a method called distance healing, also known as absent healing.<\/h3>

During a distance healing session, the practitioner may use a \u201cproxy\u201d object or \u201cproxy body\u201d to represent the receiver. The \u201cproxy body\u201d is used to represent the receiver during a distance healing session. The practitioner works with it as if the receiver were physically present.<\/h3>

As with in-person Reiki, the healing energy is only accepted if the receiver is open to receiving it. If the practitioner is unsure, they can still send the Reiki. The energy will only be received if it is needed and accepted, and Reiki is believed to do no harm.<\/h3>

During the session, the practitioner may check whether different parts of the body or energy centers need support or balance. The same methods used in an in-person session can also be used in distance healing.<\/h3>

Practitioners may notice signs such as:<\/h3>

  • Warmth, cold, or tingling in the hands<\/h3><\/li>

  • A natural feeling or intuition about a certain area<\/h3><\/li>

  • Using a tool such as a pendulum<\/h3><\/li><\/ul>

    Before beginning any healing session, it is important to prepare properly. This may include:<\/h3>

      In distance healing, asking permission is done a little differently than in an in-person session. You can follow these steps:<\/h4>

      * Place your hands in front of you, with your palms facing each other. Keep them about 25 cm (10 inches) apart and about 25 cm (10 inches) away from your body.<\/span><\/h4>

      * Quietly say the name of the person you wish to help. Then make an offer for them to receive Reiki healing.<\/h3>

      Repeat this three times.<\/h4>

      * Pause for a moment and notice if you receive any feeling, thought, or intuition. You may feel that the healing is accepted or not accepted. If you do not receive a clear answer, you may continue with the session.<\/h3>

      * Place the proxy object or proxy body on a pillow or comfortable surface in front of you.<\/h3>

      Then:<\/h3>

      • Introduce yourself and explain that you are about to give Reiki healing<\/h3><\/li>

      • Explain that the chosen object will act as a proxy for the receiver<\/h3><\/li>

      • Mentally connect the receiver with the proxy object<\/h3><\/li>

      • Begin the Reiki session in the normal way<\/h3><\/li><\/ul>

        • Commence the treatment in the usual way<\/h3><\/li>

        • Trace the Cho-Ku-Rei symbol over the thought form\/proxy.<\/h3><\/li>

        • Trace the Hon-Sha-Ze-Sho-Nen symbol over the thought form\/proxy.<\/h3><\/li>
